How To Manage The Event Technology Ecosystem – Breakthroughs In Integration
Meeting and event planners work with many technology platforms that all promise to optimize their resources. But many of these tools only solve one problem and rarely integrate with other platforms. As a result, planners are often left to manage event data between systems manually, cancelling out any time-saving automation that was done in the first place.
Major obstacles have traditionally precluded planners from fully integrating their systems – time, money, access to expertise, complicated processes and lack of support from technology providers and IT departments. In this webinar, we’ll walk you through how to connect all of your tools by yourself with a simple integration solution, an ‘integration Platform-as-a-Service’ (iPaaS). iPaaS solutions like Built.io Flow make it easier, more affordable, and faster to integrate, enabling planners to pursue opportunities to do so much more with their skills and talents.

Connectivity for Meetings and Events
In today’s connected world, it’s hard to imagine a time when access to the internet wasn’t within the palm of everyone’s hands. Whether using a meeting app, taking notes, texting, emailing or posting to social media, connectivity is a vital part of everyday life – and every meeting. Because of this, online access is now an expectation rather than a perk. While this makes organizing and executing events a more efficient process, protecting valuable information stored on personal devices now must be a high priority for planners.
Poachers use pilfered attendee lists to pick off unsuspecting registrants from official blocks. Pirates will do the same. At best, they’ll book victims into subpar venues – and at worst providing no accommodations, and absconding with deposits.
Is the hotel Wi-Fi network in your room and meeting space secure? Are your registration and computer lab devices protected? Creating a cyber-safe environment is crucial, not only because of attendees’ expectations, but also because every phone, tablet and laptop is an entry point for potential harm to planners, delegates and their events.
No matter what you call them, these practices are all a version of consumer fraud. In this session we review the results of the CIC APEX Standards Committee CMP survey on Piracy/Poaching on who is affected, how they are affected, and what they are doing about this growing problem.
– Share data & tips from the CIC APEX Whitepaper & tool kit on Piracy/Poaching
– Discuss the various ways cyber threats occur and share what to do to protect your meeting.
